ENKHTAIVAN OCHIRBAT was born in 1977 in Ulaanbaatar city and obtained his education at the Institute of Fine Arts of Mongolia. His artistic career was developed during a period of transition in the /990s. While teaching at various art colleges and universities in Mongolia, Enkhtaivan took part in over 40 important exhibitions held not just in his home country, but in Asia, Europe and North America, including The 27th Asian International Art exhibition Thailand, The 28th Asian International Art Exhibition Taiwan, Crossing Identities beginners and experts, Hybrids/Urban Nomads Festival Berlin (2014), Signature Art Prize, Singapore (2011) and the Beijing International Art Biennale (2008). Enkhtaivan uses a wide range of media, not limited to painting and sculpture, but also uses media such as video installations. In his exhibition End Rushing into Beginning, held in 976 Art Gallery, Ulaanbaatar in 2016, artist Enkhtaivan experimented with the mix of smells coming from different cultures, where he used unprocessed wool and coffee as major elements of his exhibition work.
